Raymond James Gasparilla Festival of the Arts returns to its roots alongside the Hillsborough River in downtown Tampa. Celebrating its 40th anniversary, the festival will take place in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, just outside of the newly constructed Tampa Museum of Art. Considered one of Florida's premier cultural events, the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts ranks among the leading juried arts festivals nationwide that feature both fine arts and crafts.

Nearly 300 accomplished artists representing 13 different media disciplines are selected from more than 1,000 applicants to exhibit their original works in this celebrated two-day show. Artists vie for $75,000 in cash awards, including the coveted $15,000 Raymond James Financial Best of Show Award, in addition to a generous purchase awards program. Attendees enjoy the free festival, filled with outstanding art from renowned, emerging artists, exceptional live music and creative children's activities. In 2009, the Festival received a four star rating from Sunshine Artist, the nation's leading publication for art and craft show exhibitors, promoters and patrons.
