New York City native Allen Payne began attending acting classes at a young age in his Harlem neighborhood and credits acting with saving him from the perils of the street. His film credits include Mario Van Peebles' New Jack City; CB4; Jason's Lyric, in which he played Jada Pinkett's love interest; The Walking Dead and Vampire in Brooklyn. Payne received his first wide television exposure playing a recurring role on the hit series The Cosby Show. He was one of the wisecracking friends of Pam Tucker, Claire Huxtable's young cousin from the inner city. Payne's theater credits include Men Cry in the Dark, The Arm Wrestler and The Harlem Cowboy.
