A native of Atlanta, GA 8 year-old China Anne McClain discovered her love of acting while memorizing the lines of her favorite movies and dressing up as different characters. Her passion for pretending sparked her career in 2005, when she was chosen by director Rob Hardy and producer Will Packer to portray the character Alexis in their film The Gospel. She has most recently been seen in Tyler Perry's movie Daddy's Little Girls, starring Idris Elba and Gabrielle Union. In December 2008, she will be seen in Dennis the Menace Christmas, starring Robert Wagner and Louise Fletcher.

McClain's hobbies are singing, dancing, hula hooping and drawing elaborate greeting cards. She also enjoys writing in her journal and reading books to her stuffed animal, Tiger.
